We are now kicking ourselves in the butt for not going before! One of the main reasons it’s difficult for me to go into smaller, local casinos is because I stopped smoking and sometimes the smoke smell can be overwhelming (not to mention tempting!).

This past weekend, we were in the mood for a Sunday Brunch so we went to EMERALD ISLAND CASINO on Market Street in Henderson. My hubby and I decided that one day each weekend, we will explore Henderson and visit each of the places we hadn’t yet made time to visit. I can’t even begin to count the number of restaurants we have in Henderson and Las Vegas - or the number of hotels, casinos or landmarks. It’s just like when you live in New York City and haven’t gone to the top of the Empire State Building or you live in Washington, DC and haven’t visited the Smithsonian Institute, there are landmarks and businesses you don’t visit in your city because you take them for granted.

That’s exactly what happens when you live in Las Vegas and its neighboring city, Henderson. You pass by the same buildings everyday and because you’re driving, you (better) concentrate on the road. So many things are taken for granted when you live in a city that caters to tourists.
